Athleats Nutrition is a concierge nutrition company combining functional medicine with performance nutrition. We work with active gym goers, elite, student and professional athletes, entertainers and high performers outside of sports. We provide concierge level nutrition coaching to elite performers nationwide (sometimes worldwide).
Currently, we are looking to bring on a part-time, contracted licensed performance nutritionist.
You will work independently using our proven system of education and coaching. Our clients seek high-level personalized nutrition coaching and expect concierge services. We will provide you with clients. You must enjoy working with clients, students, and support staff regularly. A quick learner with a willingness to grow is ideal. This is not an entry-level position. We can teach high-level sports nutrition, but you should have experience with one-on-one client work, sports nutrition, and sales calls. This job is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Work with high-performing, high-profile, high-net-worth individuals to reach their body composition, athletic, and lifestyle goals.
- Create detailed nutrition plans considering macros, nutrient timing, schedules, lifestyles, travel, location, tournaments, etc.
- Conduct discovery calls and convert them into sales.
- Collaborate with personal assistants, managers, agents, chefs, and other staff for local and travel food arrangements.
- Educate clients about nutritional protocols, explaining the reasons behind them.
- Have a solid understanding of functional medicine and protocol application.
- Analyze lab chemistry and develop protocols based on labs.
- Apply and analyze longevity protocols (red light therapy, cold plunge, sauna, hyperbaric chamber).
- Work with gut health protocols (SIBO, GI MAP, Celiac, IBD).
- Coach clients to change habits through nutritional practices.
- Create and provide protocols for snacks, meal ideas, shopping lists.
- Develop and implement nutrition protocols for injury recovery.
- Design and execute detailed hydration protocols.
- Monitor body composition using tools like skinfold calipers, Inbody, DXA, etc.
- Coordinate with chefs, meal prep services, medical professionals, etc.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with athletes' medical teams and understand protocols for recovery, load management, rehab, return to play, and injury recovery.
- Communicate with athletes’ coaching and strength & conditioning teams.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of S&C and sports performance (excluding yoga and Pilates).
- Prescribe supplement protocols following safe sport practices.
- Potentially conduct group speaking and education sessions for athletes, staff, or parents.
- Recognize disordered eating and behavioral eating patterns.
- Ideally, have an understanding of hormones and peptides (not required).
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a performance nutritionist in a one-on-one setting.
- Must be an RD or CNS (CSSD a plus).
- Master's degree required.
- Understand the schedules, lifestyles, and mindsets of student athletes, elite athletes, and high-net-worth professionals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of macronutrients and their application in daily routines for performance and body composition goals.
- Experience working with athletic populations.
- Experience with root cause medicine (autoimmunity, gut health, hormones, FODMAP, etc.).
- Background in athletics, personal training, or strength and conditioning.
- Excellent understanding of supplements and their sport applications (NSF for Sport/Informed Sport).
- Ability to analyze labs like CMP, CBC, hormone panels, thyroid, micronutrients, fatty acids, etc.
- Good understanding of strength & conditioning.
- Ability to collaborate with coaching and medical staff.
- Well-spoken with clear communication skills across diverse populations.
- Independent thinker, organized, capable of critical decisions, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work nontraditional hours, including daytime, some evenings, and weekends if necessary.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with sales and discovery calls.
- Certification like CSCS or similar.
- Knowledge of modalities such as red-light therapy, stem cells, HBOT, cold plunge, contrast therapy, etc.
- Experience with eating disorder or behavioral eating issues.
