Job summary

State of Nevada, Aging and Disability Services Division, seeks a full-time Licensed Psychologist 1 in Las Vegas to provide testing, evaluation, and psychotherapy for children with developmental disabilities.

The incumbent conducts autism diagnostics, prepares comprehensive reports, and offers consultation to families and staff while collaborating with specialty clinics and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Licensed psychologist in Nevada as required for the role.
  • One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services.
  • Ability to administer and interpret a wide variety of diagnostic tests and to write comprehensive psychological reports.
  • Experience conducting individual, family and group therapy and providing consultations.
  • Familiarity with Autism diagnostics, behavior supports and coordination with clinics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients in various settings.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, develop treatment plans, and provide individual/family/group therapy.
  • Review psychosocial assessments, monitor treatment effectiveness, and ensure documentation meets policies and regulations.
  • Record information for billing and coordinate third-party payments as appropriate.
  • Develop and conduct presentations or training programs for clients, families, and staff; engage in community outreach.
