Job summary

IntePros seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing residential construction team in Orlando, FL. You will design structural components for wood, concrete, and CMU structures, prepare repair details and engineering letters, and seal plans as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an active PE license with Florida licensure preferred and brings advanced knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and structural design principles.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer license; Florida licensure strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with residential wood, concrete, and CMU design and construction.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, applicable building codes, and structural design principles.
• Ability to complete engineering work with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering calculations for residential construction projects.
• Design structural components for wood, concrete, and CMU structures.
• Prepare structural repair details and engineering letters.
• Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as required.
• Coordinate structural plans with truss layouts.
• Conduct site visits and meet with building officials.
• Research applicable building codes and design requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, architectural staff, purchasing teams, and operations.
• Manage responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.
