Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Akron, is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy team. You will locate, dispense, pack, and label prescribed medications under the pharmacist's supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality of care for our patients.

Ideal candidates are licensed Pharmacy Technicians, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering compassionate, confidential service in a busy health services setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions and checking their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, prepare new prescriptions and refill requests for patients.
• Dispense medication to patients per the prescription and/or providers’ orders.
• Fill automated dispensing machines.
• Prepare compounded medications using sterile and non-sterile processes.
• Pack and label prescribed medication.
