Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by gathering vital information from multiple sources, including medical histories, assessments from physicians, insights from family members, and interdisciplinary team discussions when applicable.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the patients' needs, integrating specific goals and objectives to guide the therapy process and enhance their rehabilitation journey.
  • Utilize diverse treatment methodologies that demonstrate an understanding of the physical therapy principles and skills required to effectively treat and manage orthopedic injuries.
  • Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions and the therapeutic processes, promoting better understanding and compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Continuously assess and make adjustments to treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, ensuring that the therapeutic objectives are met efficiently.
  • Monitor progress and communicate with the healthcare team to provide updates on patient status, adapting interventions as necessary to optimize health outcomes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of practice by following all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices in physical therapy.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information to uphold the standard of care and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate paperwork while committing to regular attendance and punctuality in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Exhibit proficiency in operating therapeutic and diagnostic equipment, adhering to safety protocols while explaining each piece of equipment's function to patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative care, sports injuries, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our therapists foster a supportive and understanding environment that respects individual patient circumstances while engaging them in a collaborative therapeutic process tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program in physical therapy.
  • Holding a valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida, with a temporary permit acceptable for new graduates awaiting full licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, ensuring preparedness for any medical emergencies.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or outpatient therapy settings is preferred to enhance your capability in addressing complex cases effectively. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience working in multidisciplinary teams will also be advantageous.
