The Licensed Optician plays a key role in delivering our brand value, establishing LensCrafters as the community's premier destination for vision needs, and providing exceptional service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds customer expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately under time pressure; maintain product knowledge.
7. Explore root causes of issues; ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
8. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Achieve results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance and organization.
11. Report safety concerns; practice safe work habits.
12. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to learning and improvement.
13. Follow company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Experience in optical dispensing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
• Openness to new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail and customer service experience.
