Licensed Optician - South Windsor, CT - LensCrafters

Position: Full-Time

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
3. Act as a leader in optical acumen.
4. Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
5. Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Accurate and thorough use of technology despite time pressure and customer volume, exceptional product knowledge, and use of appropriate tools.
7. Proactively explore root cause of issues, ensure customers are satisfied, expectations are exceeded, and solution driven.
8. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
9. Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
10. Take pride in store appearance, help to keep store clean, attractive, and organized.
11. Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices.
12. Resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Optical dispensing experience.
3. Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
4. Knowledge of current store merchandise.
5. Strong basic math skills.
6. Awareness of current fashion trends.
7. Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPAD/tablet.
8. Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
9. Embrace new technology and change.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
