Job summary

For Eyes, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Licensed Optician in Falls Church. You will deliver exceptional customer service while fitting and dispensing eyewear to meet prescriptions and brand standards.

You will greet customers, perform precise measurements, educate on lens options, and uphold store merchandising and safety practices. A state license and optical dispensing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a warm welcome, setting clear expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses.
• Lead in optical knowledge and assist associates.
• Take and record measurements, ensure accurate eyewear.
• Attract new customers and identify needs.
• Ask open-ended questions to uncover priorities.
