Vision Associates in Ruskin, FL seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear selection, precise measurements, and accurate lens fitting for patients. You will guide customers, ensure quality dispenses, and coordinate with doctors to deliver exceptional eye care.

This full-time role requires state licensure, strong customer service, basic math skills, and the ability to multi-task in a busy practice. The position may include weekend/evening shifts within EssilorLuxottica’s global network.

Qualifications

• Active state optician licensure required and must be maintained.
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Basic math skills for lens calculations.
• Experience with eyewear sales and fittings is a plus.
• Knowledge of optical technology and POS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and places prescription in lenses.
• Records measurements accurately and ensures eyewear meets standards.
• Assists peers with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Operates the POS system and inputs patient information with accuracy.
• Collaborates daily with doctors and staff to support patient care.
• Maintains dispensary appearance and organizes inventory.
• Meets delivery dates and provides exceptional service to patients.
