Position Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs within the community by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and accurately place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Act as a leader in optical knowledge.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately under time pressure; maintain product knowledge.
7. Explore root causes of issues; ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
8. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Achieve results on KPIs and competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
11. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to ongoing learning.
12. Adhere to company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
• Basic math skills.
• Comfort with technology and devices like iPads/tablets.
• Familiarity with POS systems and computers.
• Openness to new technology and change.
