Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection, meeting social distance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing, cleaning protocols and hygiene practices.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding frames, lens selections and services.
• Inform customers about insurance benefits and any charges not covered by insurance.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements and verifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Ensure accuracy of customer pricing for retail.
• Maintain license requirements per state guidelines.
• Provide guidance to Apprentice Opticians when applicable.
• Adhere to HIPAA and company policies.
• Participate in training and maintain professional certifications as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations daily.
• Perform additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
