Job summary

Sunglass Hut in Santa Clara, CA is hiring a licensed Optician to serve as an on-floor ambassador, deliver the Sunglass Hut Experience, and assist management in achieving sales goals. You will fill prescriptions, fit lenses and frames, and ensure accurate measurements while maintaining store standards.

The ideal candidate holds a state Opticianry license, has dispensing experience, strong customer service, and comfortable using an iPad/tablet and POS systems.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure in Opticianry.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology & change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take & record measurements, adjust eyewear with attention to detail.
