GENERAL FUNCTION

The Licensed Optician helps establish For Eyes as a premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear, exceeding customer expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Greet customers warmly, exchange names, and set clear expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical knowledge and support associates.
4. Take and record measurements accurately, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards are met.
5. Attract new customers and explore their needs through open-ended questions.
6. Assist with complex product and prescription needs.
7. Utilize store tools and adhere to brand commitments.
8. Perform tasks accurately under time pressure, demonstrate product knowledge, and reinforce customer choices.
9. Resolve issues proactively and partner with management as needed.
10. Manage multiple priorities and maintain store appearance.
11. Follow safety practices and adhere to company policies.
12. Sell effectively and perform additional duties as assigned.
13. Maintain proper dress code, including name tag and tablet.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. State Licensure
3. Optical dispensing experience
4. Strong customer service skills
5. Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends
6. Basic math skills and familiarity with POS and computers
