Qualifications

• State licensing required (Optician in Charge status).
• Active state licensure required.
• ABO/NCLE certifications active or in progress.
• Eligible to sponsor Apprentice Optical Technicians as per state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service by identifying needs, assisting with eyewear purchases, and guiding decisions.
• Setup and stock optical displays, handle fittings, and process eyewear orders and payments.
• Measure pupillary distance and frame fit, perform basic repairs and final inspections of eyewear.
• Coordinate with labs, optometrists, and vendors; educate members on eyewear care and health services.
