Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Tampa is seeking a licensed optician to dispense spectacles and other optical products, following doctor Rx and advising patients on lens options, frame selection, and fit.

You will read prescriptions, measure frame size, and ensure timely completion while upholding HIPAA, club policies, and excellent member service. Flexible shifts and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to work as an optician in the state and keep license up to date and active.
• Experience dispensing spectacles and reading prescriptions.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and handling of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Verifies Rx data entry and ensures accuracy in the order system.
• Delivers sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone.
• Takes measurements and ensures correct frame selection and Rx power.
• Reads prescriptions with the lensometer and updates order status from received to dispense.
• Educates patients on available eyewear options to meet visual needs.
