Job summary

Oakley is seeking an Optician in Paramus, NJ to educate customers and elevate performance of optical products. You will lead and train the team, provide exceptional service, and drive Rx expansion as part of store leadership.

The role requires a State Optician License, at least 1 year of retail sales experience, and a flexible schedule to open/close the store including weekends and holidays. Benefits and a total rewards package are offered.

Qualifications

• Current State Optician License required.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of optical theory and practices.
• 1+ year of retail sales experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional customer experiences and respond urgently to customer needs.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and explain lens/frame benefits to customers.
• Lead optical operations with Store Management to identify Rx expansion opportunities.
• Foster a learning environment for team members to become optical experts.
• Engage with the local community to attract new customers.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support daily retail operations and maintain store policies and procedures.
• Maintain store appearance and assist with floor and fixture changes.
