Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs by delivering legendary customer service and crafting high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure standards are met.
5. Use technology accurately and efficiently, maintaining product knowledge.
6. Explore root causes of issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and exceed expectations.
7. Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
8. Achieve store KPIs and competencies.
9. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
10. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning.
11. Adhere to company policies including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of store merchandise
• Basic math skills
• Awareness of fashion trends
• Selling skills and familiarity with devices like iPads/tablets
• Experience with POS systems, computers, and calculators
• Openness to new technology and change
