Job summary

Atrio Search Limited is seeking a licensed Optician to provide exceptional patient care and professional eyewear solutions. You will assist with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions, and ensure accurate measurements and proper fit.

You will dispense eyewear, educate patients about eyewear care, warranties, insurance, and replacement options, and maintain precise patient records while collaborating with doctors, technicians, and management to deliver optimal visual performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous optical dispensing experience.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of optical products, insurance, and POS/EHR systems.
• Comfortable using optical tools such as lensometers, pupilometers, pliers, and frame warmers.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Recommend frames, lenses, coatings, and optical products based on patient needs and lifestyle.
• Interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
• Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and optical measurements.
• Place, track, and follow up on eyewear orders.
• Inspect, dispense, adjust, repair, and verify completed eyewear.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, insurance coverage, and replacement options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Address patient questions and resolve order or product concerns.
• Maintain clean, organised, and visually appealing optical displays.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, laboratory partners, and management.
