Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear accurately, and ensure standards are met.
5. Utilize technology effectively, maintain product knowledge, and use appropriate tools.
6. Explore root causes of issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and be solution-oriented.
7. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
8. Achieve results on KPIs and store competencies.
9. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
10. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning.
11. Adhere to company policies regarding discounts, promotions, and inventory.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State Licensure.
3. Optical dispensing experience.
4. Strong customer service, communication, and team skills.
5. Knowledge of store merchandise and basic math skills.
6. Awareness of fashion trends.
7. Ability to use iPads/tablets, POS systems, and computers.
8. Open to new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service and retail experience.
