The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition & helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs in the community. Creates exceptional value by delivering legendary customer service & high-quality eyewear exceeding expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers, set expectations
• Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Act as a leader in optical knowledge
• Take & record measurements, adjust/fit eyewear accurately, meet standards & customer needs
• Assist with complex product needs & prescriptions
• Use technology accurately under time pressure, maintain product knowledge, utilize tools
• Explore root causes, ensure customer satisfaction, be solution-driven
• Multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively
• Achieve results on KPIs & competencies
• Maintain store appearance, keep it clean and organized
• Report safety issues, practice safe work habits
• Be resourceful, self-motivated, committed to learning and improvement
• Follow company policies on discounts, promotions, inventory

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communication, listening, teamwork
• Knowledge of current merchandise
• Basic math skills
• Awareness of fashion trends
• Selling skills, ability to use an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers, calculators
• Embrace new technology & change

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service & retail experience
