Job summary

Ashland is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering patient-centered care in our facility in Ashland, Ohio. You will treat patients as directed by the OT, document daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, and help implement the physician treatment plan.

You will assist with training Restorative Aides, participate in in-services, communicate patient progress to supervisors and the health team, and contribute to discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to relate positively with patients, families, staff and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and record notes daily and weekly progress.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides and participate in in-services.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisors and health team members.
• Participate in discharge planning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Ensure documentation complies with policy, payer and Board requirements.
