Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson seeks an Occupational Therapy Team Leader to guide the therapy team, coordinate scheduling, orientation, and training, and ensure seamless delivery of therapeutic interventions.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, building meaningful patient relationships, and celebrating progress while working closely with hospital departments and the Director of Therapy Operations.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited therapy program.
• Minimum of three years of experience in occupational therapy or leadership, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Director of Therapy Operations in daily therapy team operations, including scheduling, orientation, training, and communication with staff and hospital departments.
• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient‘s physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
