Qualifications

• Must hold an active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our occupational therapy services in nursing care facilities.
• Communicate with staff from related departments when planning therapy services.
• Develop and maintain occupational therapy standards and policies.
• Review therapy policies, procedures, and job descriptions at least annually.
• Participate in discharge planning and resident care plan development.
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants per state/board policies.
• Administer therapy services via Telehealth as needed to maintain compliance.
• Ensure billing for therapy services is coded accurately and complete notes on the date of service.
