Description

The Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, budgeting, and physical management of the facility, residents, and equipment in accordance with established policies. The Administrator must work at least 40 hours per week on administrative duties.

Essential Functions
  • Operate the facility in accordance with Policies and Procedures and all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Act as liaison with the Governing Body, medical and nursing staff, and other professionals.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management promptly.
  • Develop policies for staff duties and activities to ensure residents' health and safety.
  • Evaluate employee performance periodically and discuss evaluations with staff.
  • Coordinate staff meetings and in-service education.
  • Promote merit-based advancement and handle staffing dismissals when necessary.
  • Provide honest appraisals of employee performance.
  • Ensure confidentiality of resident information.
  • Collaborate with community agencies to support residents' needs.
  • Manage petty cash and accounts receivable.
  • Secure storage for management and resident records.
  • Maintain good relationships with residents and their families.
  • Ensure supplies are available for operational needs.
  • Notify appropriate parties of resident transfers, discharges, or deaths.
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain equipment and stay current with regulations.
  • Develop public relations contacts and participate in committees.
  • Establish standard operating procedures with the Nursing Director.
  • Review reports and implement recommendations.
  • Assist during emergency evacuations if needed.
  • Make themselves available for visits and inspections.
  • Implement and train staff on the Compliance Program.
  • Maintain resident privacy in accordance with HIPAA and serve as HIPAA Officer.
  • Manage investigations related to residents.
Qualifications
Educational/Training:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields such as Accounting, Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, or Business Management.
Licensing:
  • Must hold a current, in-good-standing license issued by the State Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators.
Experience:
  • Qualified by training and experience, capable of making mature judgments, with no disabling physical or mental conditions.
Physical Demands

Includes lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, walking, speaking, driving, reaching, hearing, seeing, and balancing, with some activities requiring physical effort. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
