Job summary

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont seeks a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This full-time role (FTE .90) covers three 12-hour shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The LNA delivers direct patient care under a licensed nurse, supports hygiene, mobility, and meals, and ensures patient safety. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, Vermont LNA licensure, current BLS, and prior LNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Vermont Nursing Assistant licensure.
• Current BLS healthcare provider status.
• Previous LNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Obtains and documents routine vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.
• Assists with patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range of motion exercises using safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized patient environment and follows infection prevention practices.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges and prepares patient rooms.
