Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in Vermont.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to use a computer independently.
  • One (1) year of clerical experience (preferred).
  • Previous healthcare experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the clerical functions of the unit.
  • Perform at a professional level in the day-to-day operations of the unit.
  • Provide support related to direct patient care.
  • Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to assist in the delivery of patient care.
  • Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, perform identified patient care tasks that are reflected in established protocols and competencies.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and/or increasing knowledge in the area of practice.
  • Demonstrate the minimum knowledge, skills and ability to participate in care of age specific populations.
  • Function as part of the team to provide support to the Inpatient Care Unit environment.
