Job summary

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH seeks an experienced Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for the Thompson Unit. The role supports registered nurses and other providers, assists with examinations, prepares equipment, and delivers basic ADL care to patients aged 16 and up.

Qualified candidates will hold a New Hampshire LNA license and BLS certification within 3 months of hire. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with two years of related experience and computer skills recommended.

The Licensed Nursing Assistant assists in various aspects of patient care that are within the prescribed skills and required qualifications ofthis position and demonstrates knowledge and application of age-specific behavior and human growth and development from age 16 through the adult life span. Responsibilities include assisting RN/LPN/other healthcare providers with examinations and treatments as requested, preparing equipment for procedures as directed, and providing basic care related to activities of daily living for patients as directed by the RN/LPN, including bathing, skin care, movement and exercise/assistive care and devices, elimination, bowel/bladder training and nutrition.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training in 12 -lead EKG and use of glucose meters preferred. Minimum of two years experience in one of the job skills incorporated in this position is preferred. Computer experience preferred. New Hampshire LNA license and BLS (within 3 months of hire and maintained on a biannual basis) required.
