Dartmouth Health is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant to assist in patient care under the supervision of RNs and LPNs. The role includes preparing equipment, assisting with examinations and daily living activities, and ensuring age-appropriate care for patients. A NH LNA license and BLS are required, with training in EKG and glucose meters preferred.
The position is per diem with pay range $20.68–$32.05 per hour, offering a comprehensive core benefits package to employees.
The Licensed Nursing Assistant assists in various aspects of patient care that are within the prescribed skills and required qualifications of this position and demonstrates knowledge and application of age-specific behavior and human growth and development from age 16 through the adult life span. Responsibilities include assisting RN/LPN/other healthcare providers with examinations and treatments as requested, preparing equipment for procedures as directed, and providing basic care related to activities of daily living for patients as directed by the RN/LPN, including bathing, skin care, movement and exercise/assistive care and devices, elimination, bowel/bladder training and nutrition.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training in 12 -lead EKG and use of glucose meters preferred. Minimum of two years experience in one of the job skills incorporated in this position is preferred. Computer experience preferred. New Hampshire LNA license and BLS (within 3 months of hire and maintained on a biannual basis) required.
