Overview

Otolaryngology Clinic (ENT)

The LNA role in the clinic is to provide specialty care to our patient population, with duties varying depending on the provider(s) and clinics. This position supports over 20 providers, including surgeons and nurses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: rooming patients, collecting vital signs, low-level disinfection, medication reconciliation, patient education, assisting with clinic procedures (such as scopes, biopsies, ear injections, ear tube placement), and maintaining supply inventory.

A strong work ethic and professional communication skills with patients, nurses, physicians, administrative staff, and other departments are essential. The LNA must work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care activities and nonprofessional services to support patient comfort and needs. Assist nursing staff with duties such as ADLs, obtaining clinical data (vital signs, heights, weights), specimen collection, point of care testing, and recording results. Maintain a clean and safe environment, assist visitors, answer phones, and support new staff learning. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Keyboarding skills and computer familiarity required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed Nursing Assistant in NH required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
