Licensed Nursing Assistant I-III / LMNAS – New Hampshire Veterans Home

Location: 139 Winter St, Tilton, NH 03276
Shifts: 2nd Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, 3rd Shift 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (8‑hour shifts only), every other weekend
Hourly Pay: $19.24 – $34.32, plus Direct Care allowance up to $10.00 week, 2nd Shift $4.00, 3rd Shift $7.00, Weekend $2.00
Open Positions: Multiple entire‑time slots available for Licensed Nursing Assistants I‑III / LMNAs

Summary

LNA I: Provides direct care and essential support to residents under licensed nursing staff supervision, assists with daily living activities, monitors health conditions, and maintains a safe and clean environment.

LNA II: Works independently with licensed nursing staff oversight, mentors new nursing assistants, and assists with daily living activities while monitoring health conditions.

LNA III: Operates independently with general oversight, mentors new staff, provides direct care, and offers recommendations for care improvement.

Qualifications
  • LNA I Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, NH Nursing Assistant license, driver’s license, ability to work non‑traditional hours, and physical stamina for lifting, transferring, and transporting residents.
  • LNA II Minimum Qualifications: Equivalent combination of 1 year education and experience post‑high school, NH Nursing Assistant license, driver’s license, same work‑hour and physical demands as LNA I.
  • LNA III Minimum Qualifications: Equivalent combination of 3 years education and experience post‑high school, NH Nursing Assistant license, driver’s license, completion of five NH Nursing Board approved competencies, and same work‑hour and physical demands.

Preferred Qualifications for all levels: Experience in long‑term or geriatric care, strong verbal and written communication skills, CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities
• LNA I
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs); monitor health conditions and vital signs; document care and resident behavior.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and dignified environment; manage medications, supplies, and equipment; follow infection control protocols.
  • Participate in Plan of Care meetings; attend educational sessions; communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• LNA II
  • Provide independent care, resolve minor physical and emotional needs, and mentor new nursing assistants.
  • Execute treatment procedures within scope, coordinate with health team members, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage supplies, inventory, and safety protocols; collaborate with residents and families to promote autonomy.
• LNA III
  • Mentor and instruct new nursing assistants; exercise independent judgment and prioritize resident needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team on treatment plans; recommend therapies, medications, and care adjustments.
  • Oversee inventory, supply orders, and equipment maintenance; coordinate educational and support activities for residents.
