About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join the team at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. In this meaningful role, you will provide direct care and support to our veteran residents under the direction of a licensed nurse, contributing to their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with basic information, assist in interpersonal relationships, and facilitate adjustment to their living environment
• Assist in planning and providing for the daily needs of patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and minor treatment procedures, as directed by a nurse
• Supervise patients in various group activities to promote enjoyment and maintain ADL skills and current level of functioning
• Report findings through verbal and written communication to the shift supervisor
• Provide for resident needs, including cleanliness, nourishment, emotional comfort, and activities such as sensory stimulation, as directed by a nurse
• Perform basic nursing care, including taking vital signs and collecting specimens for routine laboratory examinations
• Utilize principles of infection control and universal precautions to support resident treatment, recovery, and prevention of infection
