Job summary

Capitol Hill Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Oklahoma City is seeking a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. We offer a sign-on bonus and weekend shifts; enjoy a supportive, well-structured environment that values nurses.

Responsibilities include administering medications, updating charts, monitoring residents, communicating with families and physicians, and adjusting care plans as conditions change. Active Oklahoma LPN or RN license and 1+ year of skilled nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma LPN or RN license.
• 1+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long Term Care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Ensure residents’ chart is current.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions; notify appropriate parties of changes.
• Take vital signs and assess residents’ health.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of changes.
• Modify care plans and ADLs based on changes in condition.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.

Available Shifts

• Weekends shifts available
• Responsibilities and Purpose
• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Ensure residents’ chart is current
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions. Notify appropriate parties of residents’ change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of residents.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications or conditions of health.
• Modify residents’ care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Nurse Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents’ changes in condition.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.

Required Experience and Education

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• 1+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long Term Care environment.
