Job summary

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with activities of daily living for hospitalized patients. You will work with the nursing team, including the Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager, to ensure patient comfort and safety.

This role requires a VT CNA license and current BLS certification, with core duties including ADL assistance, effective communication, and rapid response to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current Vermont CNA license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist hospitalized patients with activities of daily living as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Communicate with Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and co-workers about patient needs.
• Respond quickly and appropriately in emergent situations.

This position is 32 hours per week 6a-2p and includes every other weekend.

Position Summary:

Assists hospitalized patients with activities of daily living and as assigned, delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse. Communicates with Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and co-workers, as appropriate about patient needs. Is able to respond quickly and appropriately in emergent situations.

Requirements

Education/ Experience: High School graduate or GED. Current Licensed Nurses Assistance licensure in Vermont. Current BLS certification required.

Other Requirements: Able to communicate effectively. Computer Literate. Experience working with an electronic health record preferred.
