Job summary

CIS Home Loans is seeking a licensed Loan Originator to guide borrowers from initial consultation to closing. You’ll build lasting relationships with clients, realtors, and referral partners in your community.

We offer remote work within IL/AL states or in Hamilton, AL, or Wheeling, IL location. Strong NMLS license, knowledge of loan products, and excellent communication are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS registration/license required.
• Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in mortgage lending preferred.
• Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and/or USDA loan products a plus.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with loan origination software (LOS) and CRM tools.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective borrowers to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate loan products.
• Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.
• Analyze financial and credit information to determine loan eligibility.
• Collect, verify, and process required documentation in compliance with standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and referral sources.
• Stay current on loan products, interest rates, and underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company lending regulations (including NMLS licensing).
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly origination goals.
