Job summary

Park Place Behavioral Health Care in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Mobile Crisis Licensed Assessor to provide on-call risk assessments for behavioral health crises and determine appropriate level of care. Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/LMHC) with a master’s in mental health is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LCSW or LMHC).
• Master’s Degree in Mental Health field required.
• Maturity and sensitivity to the special needs of persons with mental health and substance related concerns.
• Ability to assess needs of persons in crisis.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction supervision.
• COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment screenings for individuals in crisis.
• Be available to assess individuals needing inpatient treatment when needed.
• Document risk assessments accurately and timely.
• Provide referrals to community resources when appropriate.
• Complete all required paperwork per department policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 nomenclature and relevant acts (Baker Act, Marchman Act).
• Report to supervisor any acute or systemic problems.
