Job summary

Ellie Mental Health in Birmingham, AL seeks a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist - Approved Supervisor (LMFT-S) to provide high-quality therapy while supervising therapists pursuing full licensure. Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology or related field.
• Active Alabama LMFT license with LMFT-S designation.
• 5+ years of clinical therapy experience (preferred).
• Completed supervisor training and eligible to supervise in Alabama.
• Experience with diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries.
• Experience working with diverse client populations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and EHR systems; Valant experience is a plus.
• Insurance credentialing experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
• Provide high-quality, client-centered therapy.
• Supervise pre-licensed counselors pursuing full LMFT licensure.
• Maintain a minimum of 27 service hours per week, including supervision.
• Develop creative interventions based on client needs and goals.
• Coordinate care with families, case managers, medical providers, and other professionals.
• Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and training.
• Support clinic operations and contribute to a positive team culture.
