Job summary

Columbia Mental Health in Arlington, VA seeks licensed therapists to deliver outpatient individual and family therapy within a supportive clinical team. You will conduct assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and coordinate with psychiatrists and dietitians to support holistic care.

Qualified candidates hold a master’s or doctoral degree and an active license in VA or MD or licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree required in a relevant field.
• Active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia or Maryland or licensure eligibility at hire.
• Strong ethical practice and confidentiality commitment.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to each client’s needs.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, meetings, and discharge planning.
• Complete billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms promptly.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and staff to provide holistic care.
