We work closely with discharge teams and emphasize trauma-informed, culturally competent treatment to help clients navigate emotional challenges and build resilience.

About The Role: We seek a full-time, compassionate, licensed Mental Health Therapist in North Carolina to join our First Responder Program. Candidates should have experience in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and supporting first responders such as police, firefighters, EMS, corrections, and veterans. This remote, salaried role offers stability, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful work focused on delivering virtual care to those in high-stress professions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual therapy addressing trauma, PTSD, burnout, and emotional fatigue among first responders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and utilize evidence-based approaches.
  • Support clients in emotional regulation, sleep hygiene, and setting boundaries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

  • Active, independent clinical license in North Carolina (e.g., LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW).
  • Minimum of five years of experience with trauma, first responders, or high-stress populations.
  • Willingness to complete MindGlow Heroes First Responder Clinician Training.
  • Active NPI number; Medicare enrollment preferred.
  • Proficiency with telehealth technology and EHR systems.
  • Private, HIPAA-compliant space for virtual sessions, reliable internet, and familiarity with platforms like Zoom.
  • Excellent communication, clinical documentation skills, and a commitment to our core values.
