Qualifications

• Master's prepared with active, unrestricted licensure as a (LCSW, LPCC, LISW) in Ohio.
• Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience in mental health care setting.
• Knowledge in identifying and treating mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document mental health evaluations and progress notes.
• Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients’ care.
• Participate in educational activities related to mental health care.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Professionals:

• Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes and suicide watch notes
• Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients’ mental health care and release dates
• Participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
• Provide goal oriented intervention directed toward management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness; strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related to chronic illness
• Counsel and provide intervention to assist in the transition to being incarcerated
• Document thoroughly all tasks as stated in client’s medical record to maintain social work recording and statistics
• Initiates and/or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials and providing group therapy
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications for Licensed Mental Health Professionals:

• Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure as a ( LCSW, LPCC, LISW, etc. ) in Ohio
• A valid CPR card
• A minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a mental health care setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
• Must have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.
