Job summary

Turning Point of Central California is seeking a licensed nurse to provide direct nursing support to clients with severe mental illness and dual-diagnosis. You will educate clients, families, and the treatment team about medications and coordinate with physicians for adjustments.

The role includes injections administration, medication monitoring, and home visits to support treatment plans. Strong English skills required; Spanish highly preferred; travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid LVN or Psychiatric Technician license (CA).
• Experience in mental health nursing or related clinical duties preferred.
• Knowledge of mental illness, medication management, and patient care principles.
• Ability to document accurately in medical records and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services to clients with SMI and dual-diagnosis.
• Educate clients, families, and treatment teams on medications.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacy for medication adjustments.
• Monitor patient condition and document clinical notes.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered when needed.
• Travel to client homes or community placements as required.
