Job summary

State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections seeks a full-time Clinical Mental Health Counselor - LADC in Concord, NH. The role provides clinical treatment to incarcerated individuals, with oversight of security and daily contact in a correctional environment.

Salary ranges from $34.14 to $46.63 per hour, with Hazardous Duty Pay of $60 biweekly. Work hours are 8:00am–4:00pm, with weekends off.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 1.5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 5.5 years of education and experience after high school.
• Education and experience must include at least 1 year of graduate-level study in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) license

Responsibilities

• Assesses psycho-social information and provides clinical alcohol and substance abuse treatment to incarcerated inmates in a correctional setting, with daily direct contact and security responsibilities.
