The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Clinical Mental Health Counselor - LADC for the NH Department of Corrections, Division of Medical and Forensics / NHCFW, at 42 Perimeter Road, Concord. The role involves assessing psycho-social information and delivering alcohol and substance abuse treatment in a correctional environment, with daily interaction with inmates and required security adherence.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and 1.5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 5.5 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Education and experience must include at least 1 year of graduate-level study in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field.
• Must pass security and background screenings required for correctional environments.
• NH Alcohol and Drug Counselor license within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Conducts clinical intake assessments of referred offenders/patients for purpose of determining clinical goals and making recommendations for treatment and discharge.
• Develops a Psychiatric Treatment Plan and Treatment Plan Review for a Master Treatment Plan with collaboration between multiple clinical disciplines for specific problems, goals, objectives and interventions for effective integrated treatment.
• Develops, researches and implements Group Therapies and determines most appropriate type of group interventions for the alcohol and substance abuse population.
• Provides individualized therapeutic interventions for purpose of meeting specialized treatment goals.
• Performs a detailed bio-psychosocial history/LADC Evaluation on offender/patient to include gathering background material and reading past clinical records to formulate a comprehensive psychosocial assessment focused on substance use needs.
• Conducts discharge planning and establishes arrangements for appropriate and seamless aftercare.
• Manages offender/patient cases to ensure all required documentation is complete and provides testimony/information to courts as needed.
• Prepares clinical evaluations and reports for the Department of Corrections and outside agencies to assess treatment progress and needs.
