Work Environment

This position is structured for remote work, allowing you to perform your duties conveniently from a location of your choice. Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your role will involve:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, with a strong focus on understanding the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
• Collaborating with clients to design and implement individualized treatment plans that are informed by their unique goals, preferences, and diagnoses.
• Utilizing evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate therapeutic progress and improve mental health outcomes.
• Providing education to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing client feedback and assessments.
• Engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment and integrated care.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all client interactions, assessments, and imposed treatment plans in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in case consultations and professional development sessions to continuously enhance your clinical skills and remain informed about advancements in mental health therapies.
• Advocating for our clients while working to destigmatize mental health issues and prioritizing their collective mental health needs.

You will be primarily focused on working with a diverse client population experiencing mood disorders. Qualifications

To be considered for this rewarding opportunity, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, tailored towards mood disorder management.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
• Strong communication skills, with the capacity to foster rapport and connectivity with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience and success in treating mood disorders, a history of demonstrating positive treatment outcomes, and a commitment to ongoing professional development in the mental health field. Familiarity with telehealth platforms will be considered an advantage.
