Avela Health, a telehealth provider serving autistic individuals across the United States, seeks a Behavioral Health Provider for teens and young adults. You will deliver evidence-based interventions within a compassionate, strengths-focused model.

This role addresses anxiety, emotion regulation, and interpersonal stress, collaborates with families and a multidisciplinary team, and supports growth, autonomy, and meaningful participation.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or social work or a related field.
• Independent clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, Licensed Psychologist).
• Experience providing evidence-based behavioral/cognitive behavioral therapy.
• Experience supporting individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, suicidality, and non-suicidal self-injury.
• Demonstrated ability in engaging clients via telehealth.
• Commitment to strengths-based, and collaborative care.

Responsabilités

• Deliver CBT- and ACT-informed telehealth therapy to autistic and neurodivergent teens and young adults.
• Incorporate psychoeducation, skill-building, and values exploration into sessions.
• Address anxiety, mood, and behavioral concerns through collaborative, strength-based approaches.
• Support parents in understanding and responding to their teen’s needs using the Avela model.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program evaluation and outcomes tracking.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Provider for Teens and Young Adults provides tailored intervention and support to autistic and neurodivergent individuals using an evidence-based framework that addresses common challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, and interpersonal stress. Providers help autistic individuals and their families identify accommodations, build coping strategies, flexibility, self-advocacy and self-understanding while supporting growth and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
