Job summary

Atlantic Constructors seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to lead mechanical design for modular manufacturing and provide field support across commercial and industrial projects. The role emphasizes independent work, coordination with fabrication teams, and strong HVAC and piping knowledge with code compliance.

Responsibilities include creating construction drawings, conducting load calculations, mentoring staff, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive value engineering and timely RFI

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in VA or eligible for licensure with VA.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Work without supervision with latitude for independent action and decision making.
• Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on intermediate projects.
• Model different aspects of a facility including MEP FP and structural components using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
• Coordinate ductwork, piping systems, and equipment layouts; perform load calculations and provide field support.
• Review proposals and provide improvements to support changes and value engineering proposals.
• Mentor junior personnel and assist in training.
