Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Licensed A&P Mechanic I to perform routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft. This role spans airframe teams, including engine removal/reinstallation, checks, leak checks, and engine runs.

Requires US work authorization, 1+ year aviation experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon, Challenger or Embraer, and a valid FAA A&P license. Safety, FAA compliance, and documentation are key responsibilities in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year aviation experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon, Challenger, and/or Embraer.
  • Current/valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect engine modules and engine components.
  • Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
  • Identifying the status of the engine component and determine if any outstanding modification or airworthiness directive needs to be incorporated.
  • De-stack/disassemble engine components and/or accessories.
  • Record and take measurements while dismantling, document with pictures as required.
  • Prepare parts to get cleaned and repaired, clean, inspect, repair parts and balance as required.
  • Route repairable parts to appropriate area and place orders as required.
  • Assemble engine components and/or assemblies.
  • Final release process – checking product for compliance.
  • Reads technical specifications to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies.
  • Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Closely adhere to all company safety, FAA, and any other regulations, as applicable.

The Licensed A&P Mechanic I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft. This experienced mechanic will work across our specialized airframe teams, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft components. Additionally, they will perform engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs.

Position Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Characteristics
  • Prior experience in Business Aviation and/or an MRO environment.

Salary: $28.01 - 42.02

The compensation package for this position also includes a performance-based cash and equity incentives. Actual pay will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
