Job summary

The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) is seeking an LMSW for an hourly admissions coordinator role on an as-needed basis. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, potentially managing a small counseling caseload while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to OASAS procedures.

Responsibilities include client interviews, assessments, documentation, and coordination of referrals.

Qualifications

• Must hold a license and current registration as an LMSW in New York State.
• Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare participation.
• Position is hourly with no guaranteed hours/schedule.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and review medical/psychiatric history to develop treatment plans.
• Assess individual and family needs, strengths, and limitations.
• Complete admissions documentation following OASAS procedures and confidentiality rules.
• Provide orientation to the facility's programs, policies, and rules.
• Record psychosocial events and changes in clinical condition.
• Determine referrals to community services as needed.
• Support team with discharge planning and community resource usage.
• May provide individual, group, and family counseling and crisis intervention.
• Provide clinical consultation under supervision; prepare reports and maintain records.
