Job summary

UNC Health in Cary, NC is seeking a per diem massage therapist to provide bodywork within a certified program under the supervision of the Massage Program Coordinator.

You will ensure clean, safe work areas, explain procedures to clients, and document health histories while maintaining confidentiality. The role includes contributing to outreach and promotional activities for the Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Massage program is required.
• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Body Work Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of massage therapy or related experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and setup of massage work areas.
• Explain procedures and obtain consent while respecting client needs.
• Conduct health history and note contraindications prior to sessions.
• Deliver personalized bodywork and adjust depth with client feedback.
• Support marketing of the massage program and workshops.
