Job summary

Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to provide therapeutic massage services to our private member community in Orchid, Florida. This is a 1099 independent contractor role; you will operate with your own liability insurance and carry required state licenses.

Responsibilities include Swedish, deep tissue and sports massage, client consultations, maintaining clean treatment areas, and scheduling follow-up appointments for club members and guests.

Qualifications

• Licensed massage therapist with valid Florida license.
• Esthetician license is required or beneficial.
• Experience in deep-tissue and sports massage preferred.
• First aid, CPR, and AED certification required.

Position Overview

Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is seeking a massage therapist who will perform therapeutic massages, while providing exceptional service to our member clients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

include the following, but not limited to:

• Provide all members and guests with courteous, prompt and professional attention at all times.
• Performs a range of massage therapy services including Swedish, sports, lymphatic, deep tissue
• Promotes the benefits of massage therapy
• Conduct pre and/or post treatment consultations.
• Answer all questions related to services performed and products used.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the Club.
• Maintain massage areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing equipment.
• Consistently maintain up to date knowledge of the personal services performed.
• Schedule member client's next appointments.

Qualifications and Special Requirements

• State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Massage Therapy license and Esthetician license.
• Previous massage therapy experience.
• Must be experienced in deep-tissue and sports massage.
• Must be experienced in all modalities
• First aid, CPR, & AED certification.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Must be able to tolerate a variety of odors including massage oils and lotions.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and individual must provide own liability insurance.
