• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Massage therapy: 1 year (Preferred).
• License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front desk operations: check in/check out, scheduling appointments, answering the phone, filing.
• Greeting and assisting clients.
• Cleaning (spa & salon), laundry, stocking, and other miscellaneous duties.
• Maintaining a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.
• Preparing and turning over treatment rooms.
• Supporting other team members during busy times.
• Providing professional massage services to clients.
• Performing a wide range of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, hot stone, and other techniques.
• Conducting thorough assessments to understand health concerns and develop customized treatment plans.
• Communicating with clients to explain procedures and gather feedback.
• Maintaining SOAP records.
• Providing exceptional customer service and product recommendations.

Skin Deep Day Spa is looking for an experienced, dependable, professional and motivated Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team in a unique hybrid role.

This position is perfect for someone who loves providing exceptional massage services, but also enjoys being part of the overall spa experience. This is a great opportunity for a massage therapist who wants the stability of a broader spa role while still building and maintaining a massage clientele. This hourly/commission-based hybrid role will primarily support the day-to-day operations of the spa, helping ensure the spa runs smoothly while also providing professional massage services as needed.

Overall Responsibilities

• Front desk operations: check in/check out, scheduling appointments, answering the phone, filing
• Greeting and assisting clients
• Cleaning (spa & salon), laundry, stocking, and other miscellaneous duties assigned
• Helping maintain a welcoming, relaxing, polished atmosphere our clients expect
• Preparing and turning over treatment rooms
• Supporting other team members during busy times
• Providing professional massage services to our clients
• Performing a wide range of massage therapies including: Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, hot stone, and other specialized techniques tailored to client needs
• Conducting thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and developing customized treatment plans
• Communicating effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session
• Maintaining detailed SOAP records of treatments, client preferences, and progress
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, offering product recommendations, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere

Experience

• Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in multiple modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and hot stone
• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client conditions and tailor treatments accordingly
• Prior experience working in a med spa or healthcare environment is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Massage therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Massage Therapy License (Preferred)
